For many of us coming out to our children and other close family members can be almost overwhelming.
The process of letting people know about a part of you that has been hidden can be terrifying. Of course, circumstances will differ depending on their age, abilities and needs.
Some questions that have arisen in the past:
- When is the right time and age?
- How will they react?
- What if they find out from someone else?
- Should my wife be present?
Needless to say each situation is unique. What we have seen over many years is that things work out in the end. Things can be tough but our children love us and over time most situations end well.
Tonight we will share our experiences dealing with our family.
